Last week (or two ago) I finally visit restaurant Neh at Lootsi street. And I need to go back there!
Neh is a part of Estonian Best Restaurant Alexander in Muhu Island at Pädaste Manor and it’s so called seasonal kitchen.
Neh is the first seasonal kitchen in Tallinn, offering from beginning of the November, after they have pack their pots and pans in Alexander until end of February or March(?) Nordic Island cuisine. Menue isn’t so fancy as it is in Alexander at Pädaste Manor but it’s as tasteful as it can be without any exceptions.
So, about the menu. As I prefere mostly degustation menues what I didn’t find, I took the three course set menu, updated every day, made only off the freshest goods, like everything what comes from the chefs of Pädaste restaurants.
The most embarrassing moment is that I’m not able to remember main course. Appetizer was marinaded Baltic herring with a bit smokey tast which I actually love. A smokey medium stake would be nice now. The dessert was traditional Gotland apple cake with cardamon milk. Really sweet but in the same moment there was something what made it aslo like a bit acidic.
Btw, heard that restaurant Neh will stay this spring-summer-autumn season in Tallinn. But who’s then in restaurant Alexander kitchen?
I highly recommend Neh for the business lunches, fine dine dinner or for brunches on Sunday!
